This research paper deals with the concept of the nation in modern political thought and its historical development, along with intellectual, cognitive and technical developments and political struggles throughout modern history.

And between the different views of thinkers on the concept, and the influence of some of them in dealing with the issue with the conflicts and interests of their nations and countries.

And standing on determining the nature of the nation in the modern state.

Likewise, the different opinions of thinkers and researchers in this matter between the two modalities of the correlation between the nation and the state, and considering the existence of the state as a precondition for the existence of the nation, and that the nation without the state cannot express itself and the applicability of its cultural borders to political power.

Those who do not see this association are protesting the experiences of some nations and states.

The researcher also explained that this issue, that is, the relationship of the nation with the state, such as the concept of the nation, was subject to biased assessments by some thinkers, in light of the objective circumstances of some nations.
