The aim of the current research is to identify the concept of organizational social capital and how it can be built and invested, as well as to identify its reality at King Khalid University.
Therefore, the research used the inferential descriptive approach as well as the descriptive survey approach that was used through a questionnaire distributed to a sample of (379) faculty member, the research presented the following results: 1.
The concept of organizational social capital is based on the existence of a network of coherent organizational social relations that enable the exchange of exceptional knowledge and skills among members inside and outside King Khalid University with confidence, that is considered a valuable and unique resource for the university to support its distinction and superiority over other universities.
2.
The structural, relational, and cognitive dimensions constitute the concept of the social and organizational capital of King Khalid University.
3.
The university can, with scientific and practical, deliberate steps, build its organizational social capital and then invest it efficiently in its inputs, processes, outputs and mechanisms for obtaining feedback to evaluate its performance.
4.
The research sample agree to some extent that the dimensions of organizational social capital are available in the reality of King Khalid University.
5.
There are no statistically significant differences between the averages of the research sample responses about the reality of the availability of social capital dimensions at King Khalid University according to their difference in the following variables: college, academic rank, and gender.
