This study proposes a research map for the key research priorities of the educational management of public education in Saudi Arabia.
In conducting the study, the descriptive approach and forward-looking methodology were applied through a forecasting study method, being the “Delphi technique”.
The study population was composed of experts in educational management, where (121) experts were involved in the first round and (61) experts in the second round, which means that the total number of experts who participated in the first and second rounds was (126) experts.
According to the study's key findings, educational management experts approved ninety (90) research priorities in the educational management of ten (10) public education fields in Saudi Arabia.
To detail, experts approved (34) priorities by (90-99%), (38) priorities by (80.5-89%), and (18) priorities by (70-79%).
None of the examined research priorities received less than 70% of experts’ approval.
Based on the conclusions drawn from the experts’ viewpoints, the study also found that all the research areas have research priority in the educational management of Public Education fields in Saudi Arabia.
For example, academic economics ranked first with (94.5%), followed by professional development with (91.5%), then human resources management, which ranked third with (89.6%).
On the other hand, educational supervision came in tenth place, scoring (81.7%).
The study raised several recommendations; most notably: Adopting the research map for research priorities in the educational management of Public Education fields in Saudi Arabia by the Ministry of Education - Public Education - and its research staff, and by the departments of educational management in Saudi universities, members of the teaching staff and researchers specialized in educational management.
It will be used as a reference and a starting point for their specialized researches and scientific theses
