Abstract EN

The current study aimed at identifying the study skills and learning strategies that middle school students with learning disabilities needed to learn from the perspective of Arabic language teachers in general education in the city of Jeddah.

Also, the study attempt to identify the differences in teachers’ views when applying the study variables (gender and educational qualification).

The descriptive survey approach was used to achieve the study goals.

The researchers developed a questionnaire consisting of (17) items, divided into two dimensions, the first dimension: (study skills), and included (9) items, and the second dimension (learning strategies), which included (8) items.

A sample of (114) male and female middle school Arabic language teachers teaching in general classes, including students with learning disabilities.

The results showed that study skills were highly needed by students with learning disabilities in middle schools with an average of (3.185).

The study also showed learning strategies highly needed by students with learning disabilities with an average of (3.209).

The study did not show any statistically significant differences when applying the variables of the study.
