Abstract EN

The current research aimed to evaluate the level of teaching practices of the primary grade female teachers in Riyadh city, in the light of the 21st century skills, and to identify the differences between the levels of teaching practices according to the variables of the scientific qualification and the number of years of experience.

To achieve this objective, the researcher applied the descriptive survey method, using the observation card which included the following basic skills: learning and innovation skills, ICT skills, life and career skills.

The sample of the research consisted of (50) female teachers of primary classes in Riyadh during the academic year 1439/ 1440 AH, and were selected with multi-stage random method.

The results of the research showed that the level of teaching practices for the teachers of the primary grades in Riyadh in the light of 21st century skills was generally moderate.

Life and career skills received the highest ranking in teaching practices, while ICT skills ranked the lowest among 21st century skills.

In the light of the results, the research recommended that the 21st century skills and development strategies should be included in teacher's preparation and development programs to ensure that they are applied in teaching practices.
