Abstract EN

This study deals with the factors influencing the crime in port Sudan.

the study aims at identifying the social factors leading to the crime.

it also aims at knowing the most important types of crime in the study area and contributing to the development of scientific solutions that reduce the crime rates in the study area.

the researchers used the social survey method and the statistical method.

information was collected through primary sources such as the questionnaire and secondary sources such as books, references and published research.

the most important findings of the study are that social factors such as illiteracy, poverty, family disintegration and bad companions are the main reasons for committing crimes in the study area.

crime in the study area was confined to the countryside and its border areas.

the study recommended the development of rural areas; and, to open cultural centers for young people; raise awareness of the danger of crime; and establishing development projects to increase the daily income of families and reduce the phenomenon of poverty.

in addition to the upbringing of children and education based on religious values and good social habits.
