Abstract EN

In this paper we dealt with the definition of what Islamic thought, its sources and characteristics, and the definition of the Imamate in language and idiom.

The issue of the Imamate is one of the most important issues, and it is not clear to anyone that there were problems in it in the advanced ages when Abdullah bin Sabaa emerged from the introduction of pagan perceptions on this topic.

We also dealt with the concept of the Imamate in the Shiite and Sunni thought and the conditions related to the Imamate.

Conditions like Islam, masculinity, the integrity of the senses, and others, and his duties and rights, the imam’s rights over people, and the imam’s right to Muslims’s money are clarified.

We have used in this paper the descriptive and analytical method, where we worked on a review of how the imamate was to be held, and it appeared to us that there are two ways of holding: The first: agreement and selection by the people of the solution and the contract Second: the text and the appointment.

The paper reached many conclusions, including, for example, that obedience to the Imam is an act of obedience to God Almighty.

This topic is considered one of the evidence for the correlation and correlation between doctrinal and jurisprudential rulings.
