Abstract EN

This study aims to identify of the demographic gift and its impact on the economic growth in Libya during the period (1964-2006).

This study reached the Libyan society very close to entering the demographic gift circle if it did not actually enter it, and this study used the common integration approach and relied on the Bounds Testing procedure in framework Autoregressive distributed lag models (ARDL).

The study suggests that attention should be given to the demographic gift as a non-deterministic phenomenon and should be pursued, leading to an increase in economic growth through synchronizing with rational economic policies that convert savings into investments and other complementary strategies that define the appropriate technological level.
