Botmeh talks about Palestinian centers which are serving Palestinian popular heritage and discusses the reasons that shook the Palestinian identity to its foundations, chief among which was the calamities of 1948 and 1967 which resulted in the occupation of Palestine and the creation of the Palesinian diaspora.

The writer then suggests certain measures and activities that will, in her opinion, revive the Palestinian identity.

Among her suggestions are; creation of appropriate Paletinian symbols, revival of Palestinian traditional architecture and other folk professions, estableshment of public services in the countryside, formation of folk troupes and bestowal of honour on individuals who exerted real efforts towards protection of the Palestinian folk heritage.
