Abstract EN

The current study aims to try to identify the role of social media networks and the political awareness of members of civil society in the area of Meggarine.

The study was based on the descriptive curriculum and included a specific sample of 100 members of various associations’ activity in the area of Meggarine.

The data collection tool was the form, which included 31 questions.

The study produced a number of findings, including: - Facebook is the most widely used website by members of civil society.

- Social media networks contribute to the coverage of political issues according to the perspective of the sample in the region of the two sites.

- Social media networks do not contribute to building the mental image of members of the sample about the various political issues and events involved.
