English Abstract

Specialists in Arabic agree that the Quraish dialect dominated classical Arabic early in the sixth Christian century , and that this literary form of the language continued its oral life till the Abbasid era (9th century A D ) when literality replaced orality.

At the same time, and as a consequence to the Islamic conquests and the intermingling and intermarriages of Arabs with non-Arabs, classical Arabic lost its place as a daily spoken language to colloquial Arabic dialects Writers however refrained from using those dialects in their writing lest such usage might lead to the extinction of classical Arabic and consequently to the extinction of the Holy Quran Therefore, only some examples of popular literature under the label Literature of the Public “ haw been cited in the works of those writers Such examples can be seen .
