This article talks about the history of Palestinian heritage festivals and their relation to the Palestinian srtuggle for freedom It also shows that heritage festivals can contribute effectively to the reconstruction of the Palestinian cultural life through implementation of suggestions like the following 1 Holding an annual central Palestinian Heritage festival to be repeated in each of the Palestinian governorates with special emphasis on heritage aspects unique to the given governorate 2 Adoption ot one folkdance group as the national Palestinian group 3.
