Abstract EN

There are multiple definitions for renties state most prominently derived all or a larg portion of its revenue through lease local resource for foreign scholars .as for the broader definition for rentier state is the state who lives on rentierm income from abroad regularly, such as low domestic productivity.

oil countries can be considered as a natural source specific to some state, indeed an exhaustible source that can effectively contribute partial funding ( countries exporting multi ) or general (rentier) economic need of the producer countries such as Iraq, Algeria, Lebia, Nigeria, Venezuela, Arab gulf countries and others.

the rentier state solution should close the margin between poverty and unemployment with increased employment and challenge corruption.

the rentier nature of the economy is entered due to the dependence upon oil as the principal source of income and financing of non oil activity and the relative fragility of industrial production.

this study develops a theoretical model to analyse wether a rentier state can diversify its economy away from the rent revenue and hence sustain the economic development and preserve.

we will try through this study to highlight the economic risks of rentier countries especially in times of crises as well as short and long term solutions that can diversify the iraqi economy.
