The current study aimed to identify the content and the structure of social representations of risk among urban transport drivers according to Apric's central core theory.

this descriptive analytical study used sequencing free association technique of Vergés in collecting associations, while the results were analyzed with the Evoc 2005 program, the purposive sample consisted of 102 drivers in Batna.

The results are: Death and accidents are centered in the central core.

Drugs, awareness, education and recklessness are the first peripheral elements, while the second peripheral elements include adolescence, family, victims, and speed, while the paradoxical elements includ emotional state, disability, lack of experience, material losses, law respectless.
