The phenomenon of military coups has spread widely in African circles since the sixties of the last century has posed a continuing threat to security, stability and political building in Africa, in order to reduce the phenomenon and bring about the manifestations of democracy and the peaceful transfer of power, the African union adopted new mechanisms involving it, including the African charter of democracy and elections and the government, which emphasizes the need to denounce the illegal changes of governments, it also confirms the text of article 30 of the constitutive act of the African union, which recognizes the preservation of the constitutional regulations of the African countries through the suspension of participation in the activities of the union of states that reach power by unconstitutional means, also affirms the support of the African union and its efforts to activate the manifestations of democracy.
