Through this article, we stand at some length on an important role played by the zawiyas of Algeria, specifically in the southern region : namely, the teaching of the holy Qur’an and its memorization to the students affiliated with the zawiya.

the zawiya is a memorizer of the holy Qur’an.

in a correct and serious manner, this ability to memorize the holy Qur’an by the students of the zawiyas did not come like this.

rather, it was set with a specific methodology that the zawiya sheikhs use for the good memorization of the Qur’an and its consolidation among the zawiya students ; from the foregoing, we will try to shed light on the methodology and methods used to memorize the noble Qur’an in al-Zawiya al-Tijaniah, Ainmadi, in the Wilayat of Laghouat.
