Communication is a vital human activity.

he lives in an environment full of different communicative messages that surround him in his daily life in various fields, such as cultural, social, political, advertising, and media discourses.

in this research paper, we present discourse analysis as one of the methodological intellectual approaches that have emerged in the field of social sciences-especially linguistics-since the mid-twentieth century, and its articulation with media and communication sciences which was delayed until the end of the seventies.

we aim also to highlighting the particularity of the media discourse and its contribution to building social representations through critical analysis of the discourse.
