Abstract EN

This scientific paper aims to present the concept of cohesion and its aspects and the most important mechanisms and how to invest and employ it in textual analysis in the poem of "aghani altaayih" by Abu al-Qassim al-Shabi.

in this study it was concluded that cohesion has tow main functions : first is cohesion of text and the second is totality of text, it was also concluded that reference, reiteration and junctions they had the most prominent role in cohesion for poem of "aghani altaayih" by Abu al-Qassim al-Shabi unlike other textual mechanisms.
