Politicians, in their discourse, resort to repetition which is often loaded with messages and meanings, to influencing the recipient, and convince or urge him to take a stand toward a specific situation.

therefore, the interpreter had to take into account all forms of repetition in the original text when dealing with this type of discourse.

in this regard, this paper examines the way in which a professional interpreter translates repetition in oral political discourse.

and how he transfers it into the target language, on the basis of error analysis approach.

the results of this study show that the omission of repetition in the translated version led to a different meaning and a different message content between the source and target texts.
