Abstract EN

This study attempts to investigate the political and military aspects of prince Abdul Qadir al Jazairi (1808-1883).

despite his age, his political ability appeared in expanding the loyalty base, establishing the state, organizing its organs, uniting the tribes and making them submitting to him.

moreover, he was able to negotiate with French leaders and sign treaties with them, maintain correspondence with countries, personalities and international organizations and was also able to mobilize support for the Algerian case.

in the military field, he had the ability to form and organize armies and fight smartly and cunningly until defeating the most powerful armies in the world at that time, and recorded his most magnificent jihadist championships.

this study revealed some conclusions, among them, that the prince Abdul Qadir was a head of state with a political and diplomatic personality and a warrior with a military genius formed during long stages of fighting making of a young man a hero and a global personality.
