The construction sector in Egypt witnessed several times during the three years as a result of economic fluctuations witnessed by the Egyptian market, and the most prominent of these obstacles: the high prices of building materials as a result of the liberalization of the exchange rate of the pound against foreign currencies, which makes the high cost of implementing projects and the lack of quality for these projects.

It was necessary to find a way to raise the efficiency of these projects during the different stages of their life under any existing conditions.

The paper provides key performance indicators for construction projects, critical success factors for projects, as well as the value of construction projects.

The research paper aims to define the criteria and application of the key performance indicators that are in line with the Egyptian construction market: such as cost, time, and quality in order to achieve the value of construction projects in Egypt, and lead to improving their efficiency during the different stages of their life.

Two basic approaches have been combined, reviewing previous studies of key performance indicators and critical success factors for construction projects at the global and local levels, in order to choose the most widespread and important indicators and factors in the world in line with the Egyptian construction market, and by making a questionnaire to try to take advantage of the Egyptian experiences to reach the most important indicators and factors in line with the Egyptian market for construction, by taking the opinions of a group of experts and specialists in the field of building and construction as an aid to research and they have experience starting from five years in construction projects until More than twenty years; the most important KPIs and critical success factors affecting construction projects in the Egyptian construction market have been reached in order to realize the possibility of raising the value of construction projects in Egypt.
