The principle of separation of powers is the cornerstone of democratic systems.

This principle has helped the emergence of democratic trends and principles that aim to guarantee the fundamental human freedoms and resist oppression and tyranny.

It means distributing responsibilities between the state’s powers and their independence so that responsibilities of one power are not in conflict with those of the other powers.

This principle has a great influence on the diversity of political systems at the present time.

On the basis of the nature of the relationship between powers, a number of representative systems have emerged.

This principle has been a driving factor behind the submission of the state to the rule of law.

From this standpoint, thinkers and jurists have adopted the principle of separation of powers in different ways to avert tyranny and arbitrariness and to prevent the control of powers getting into one hand.
