The modern “science of terms” that originated in the last century, studies the relationship between concepts and the expressions that they express.

Hence, this science consists of several disciplines: linguistics, translation science, semantics (semiotics), phonology and existence (conceptual systems), cataloging, lexicon making, and computer science.

Hence terminology is considered as "science of sciences".

Al-Qassimi Ali is considered one of the modern Arab researchers who made great efforts to serve the Arabic term, and what it added to Arabic terminological studies in theory and practice.

This research seeks to find out the various issues of the Arabic term in Al-Qassimi, focusing on his book The Science of the Term.

It is a modern science that is still under construction, as the author says.

Among the issues that we will deal with is the extrapolation of the terminological effort that he has, most of which has been poured into the service of Arabic theory and practice, and research on the foundational theoretical efforts that Al-Qassimi undertook in terms of industry at the theoretical level, and in transferring the Arabic term from individual work to disciplined institutional work.
