Abstract EN

The topic area of this paper deals with role of Shaikh Mohamed AlBashir Al Ibrahimi in reviving the Islamic Arab identity of Algeria.

Really, Algeria gave birth to many personalities who were good warriors of Islamic and Arabic Nation.

They fought with the intellectual effort to build their nation, to prevent the melting of their national identity and to confront the attempts of the colonizer to impose its language and culture on the occupied country.

Perhaps the personality of Sheikh Mohamed Al-Bashir Al-Ibrahimi and his intellectual and political role in Algeria is one of the points worthy of research in depth.

It is necessary to say that the political independence of Algeria would not have been possible without the presence of a conscious sponsor of the importance of the original identity of Algeria.

This identity includes Language and religion, customs and traditions, and spiritual and emotional partners with the rest of the Arab world.

At the forefront of this effort was Shaikh Ibrahimi with his colleague Shaikh Ibn Badees who worked to establish the Association of Muslim Scholars, which worked to resist the French attempts seeking to erase the Algerian identity
