The presence of oil is crucial to the global economy and as a result, the volatility in oil prices has a significant impact on the global economy.

Algeria has been dependent on the oil sector for more than five decades, as it is the backbone of the economy because it has a large financial return.

Because of this dependence, the Algerian economy has become vulnerable to fluctuations in oil prices in the market, which makes it an impact on economic growth, and a source for the periodic pace of government spending and tax policy, and thus this allows us to establish a relationship between oil price fluctuations and macroeconomic variables and analyze the dynamics of the structure of GDP.

Aggregate through the exposure of its components to external shocks.

Our results show a strong and clear impact of fluctuations in international oil prices on GDP growth, unemployment rates, trade balance, and public spending.
