Abstract EN

The study aims to assess the tourism sector in Algeria and know its location compared to North African countries.

To reach the goal, all indicators of tourism and travel competitiveness have been relied on based on the 2019 Tourism and Travel Competitiveness Report issued by the World Economic Forum.

Where we reached in our study on several results, the most important of which is that Algeria is at the bottom of the global ranking and North Africa in terms of the main indicator of the competitiveness of tourism and travel.

In addition, the sub-indicators highlighted more about the weaknesses that must be rectified and the strengths that must be exploited to advance the sector.
