his article seeks to examine the phenomenon of alienation and its manifestations in the novel titled "Emigrant Waiting for the Supporters” of Maammar Hajij, and the extent to which the alienation factor affects the ‘hero’ character, who lives in two contradictory situations: A real personality, and a claiming personality imposed by laws and events of life.

This reveals the conflict through the social, cultural and psychological dimensions for self-realization.
