The teaching and learning of languages were imperative in Westerners' linguistic thought.

A group of linguistic theories contributed to explaining language acquisition and learning based on structural behavioral perceptions (Saussure / Bloomfield) first, generative (Chomsky) second, and functional (communicative) (Simon Dick) finally, while the Arab linguistic reality reflects a strange paradox between the development of research Linguistic Arabic theory and between its investment in the field of teaching and learning the Arabic language in light of the problems that this poses to the level of its teaching.
