Intertextuality has turned into a significant issue in literal and critical research, and has appealed to a large number of scholars, critics, and text researchers, who have developed rules and regulations for it, applied in a huge amount of literal text.

Intertextuality is a critical technique based on the idea that all text is interwoven like a web, involving plenty of mutual effects, in the sense that each text contains part of a previous or simultaneous one—even a small part thereof.

A transparent resource for literature, the Noble Quran has always been used as a rich, infinite reference for that purpose, instances from which have been employed in works by belletrists, poets, and authors.

Enjoying religious education, contemporary Kurdish author Sayyid Qadir Hidayati and contemporary Egyptian author Tharwat Abaza have gained control over language ever since childhood and been influenced widely by Quranic education in their literary and narrative works, thus establishing a distinguished, magnificent style based on Quranic manifestations.

This research seeks to investigate the phenomenon of intertextuality in the works by these two well-known authors with a descriptive-analytical approach.

Intertextuality is manifested in a variety of dimensions according to them, particularly in their stories and narratives.

They have sometimes included early text—Quranic text here—in theirs with no fundamental change, while applying a little structural change in other cases as required by the present text, referred to here as progressive interactive intertextuality.

They have sometimes created narrative text based on the linguistic, particularly syntactic, structure of Quranic text, referred to as syntactic interactive intertextuality.

Alternatively, they have employed Quranic implications in accordance with their own notions and purposes and recreated them in novel forms.

Where the two authors have included Quranic text in theirs with no change, Sayyid Qadir Hidayati has used Kurdish as a cover, and Tharwat Abaza has quoted an expression from the Quran as a citation by a character.

It was found through an analysis of sample narratives by the two authors that they have established a persistent style in the field of fiction despite their distinct characteristics and interactions with the Quran in their writings.
