Abstract EN

The growing interventionist tendency after the cold war period among the major powers in the failed states is based on the hypothesis of the safe zone for terrorism represents a threat to international peace and security, and that the international community in solidarity is responsible to reform the failed states.

this study assumes that the external interventions of the major powers are colonial, driven by strategic goals, given that the failure of the state is not reduced to the security dimension.

the field record of the impact of these interventions reveals their contribution to dissociate failed states more than building them, and thus, works to sustain their dependency.

the study proves this hypothesis by discussing the colonial history and the distorted emergence of the nation-state, and the context of globalization devoted to marginalize the role of the state, in addition to two contexts related to humanitarian intervention and the war on terrorism to legitimize intervention.
