This study addresses the problem of conceptual uncertainty in understanding the phenomenon of private security and military companies (PMSCs), seeking to approximate epistemologically, from their epistemological reality formed for their complex identity, and to verify their interrelated relationships with various private security actors.

accordingly, this study seeks to give an inclusive understanding of what private security and military companies are in international relations, despite the many concepts and connotations connected to them.

; finally, an attempt to form a procedural conceptualization and to the comprehensive naming (PMSCs), and to provide a clear conceptual perception of the various private security actors and entities in contemporary world politics.
