Abstract EN

The objective of the study is to identify the reality of information systems resources at the STAPS institute in Oum el Bouaghi, and the impact of its using on decision making in order to reveal the difficulties faced by these systems which limit the effectiveness and efficiency in the provision of appropriate information to supporting the deferent decisions making steps, following the descriptive and analytical approach to address the problem studied, based on a questionnaire contain two principal axes ; the first measure effectiveness of information systems resources (hardware ; data ; software ; network ; human ; procedures), however the second evaluate decisions making steps as the main tool for collecting data from the study sample consisting of 25 decision makers in the institute, the study yielded the following results : information systems resources affects the decision making at the STAPS institute in Oum el Bouaghi, : information systems (data ; human) affects the decision making at the STAPS institute in Oum el Bouaghi.

on the basis of its findings, the study recommends : senior managers should give more importance to the information systems and provide the necessary resources for its implementation.
