Abstract EN

This study mainly aims at highlighting the importance of leadership skills in improving the performance of work teams within an economic institution through the determination of the relationship between leadership and work teams.

For the purpose of achieving the objectives of this study, it was decided to use a descriptive approach for identify the research variables.

To do this, an analytical approach was adopted for analyzing the research community that consisted of 50 male and female workers from the technical teams in charge of repairing breakdowns and installing telephone networks.

The sample was determined by applying a comprehensive inventory approach for the research community, and the questionnaire tool was used to assess the research variables.

The authors of this study came to the conclusion that leadership skills have an effect on the performance of work teams.

In particular, the dimension of organizational knowledge and skills had the greatest impact on the performance of work teams.

In addition, there was nearly no impact of human skills on the performance of technical work teams.

Moreover, there were no statistically significant differences between the average opinions of the study sample regarding all areas of the questionnaire due to personal variables, such as age and academic level of education.
