Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to highlight the role of the natural family in providing material care to the elderly, directly or indirectly, in a complementary relationship with the mission of the State to ensure a decent and decent life for this vulnerable group of society.

This is enshrined in Algerian legislation in the Penal Code and in Act No.

10.12, as well as in all the relevant regulatory texts, which have largely followed the modern trends of international thought in understanding the privacy of older persons.

Their need for exceptional care is based on their family environment.

An important result is the need to take into account the legal provisions of the components of the Algerian Islamic family in order to regulate family relations so as to ensure that society is free from disruption and breakdown.
