The Algerian legislator has adopted judicial mediation as an alternative way to resolve disputes, with the intervention of the judicial mediator to bring the parties to the conflict closer in order to reach an amicable settlement between them, without having any authority to settle the dispute by a binding judgment, but its role depends upon presenting proposals to them to reconcile their views.

the success of mediation in resolving the conflict depends to a large extent on the personality of the judicial mediator, not only through the procedural work entrusted to him, but also depends on his administrative and technical roles, in what is known as the tripartite role of the judicial mediator.
