Returning from the engagement is considered one of the most important aspects of the engagement, as a man can change his mind about the fiancée that he wants to be associated with for any reason, and the reason may be valid or not valid, and the woman can refer to her opinion in the fiancé for any reason, and there may be abuse from the man or the woman to the use of their right to remission, as both sharia and the law clarify the consequences of the change, whether it is from the man or the woman, and the reversal may be in the dowry and the right positioned for the man and the woman in it, and it may also be a change in gifts, and as a result of the harm that has occurred.

whether for the fiancé or the fiancée as a result of the abuse of one of them on behalf of the other, both sharia and the law have arranged compensation as a result of that harm, and the damage may be material or moral.
