Birth rituals in the area of Tlemcen are considered as a woman’s outlet, it is a space where a lot of things are expressed, like moving from one social standing to another, and the expression of belonging to a particular social class.

in this article we will try to show some women’s rituals after giving birth, and highlighting their job during the maternal period.

those practiced rituals could be to achieve in her a sort of psychological balance.
