Abstract EN

For 15 years, Prince Abd-el-Kader and his resistance have taken up a wide range of European writings, both French and English.

The English writings were embodied in the journeys, the most important of which was the journey of Seguin in 1876, as a sympathise and admirer of the Prince and his resistance, and the journey of Miss Bethem Edward, friend of the French Governor-General in Algeria, Marshal McMahon.

In this intervention, we seek to analyse each party's position, the objectivity and circumstances surrounding it, and then compare them.
