This study falls within the framework of semiotic criticism in general and narrative semiotic criticism in particular, and its label : the narrative semiotic theory between rooting and application-al Maqamah al Baghdadi Rukn al-Din al-Wahrani, and I tried at the beginning of this study to refer to the most important theoretical and procedural paths of the mechanisms of narrative semiotic analysis of senior theorists this theory, and in the second part of the research, I tried to apply some of the mechanisms of this approach to an ancient Algerian heritage text known as al-Maqamah al-Baghdadi Rukn al-Din al-Wahrani.
