Abstract EN

This article, tagged with "poetics from the field of representation to the field of literature, from Aristotle to the Russian formalists" deals with the theorists' efforts in establishing the subject of poetics and its theoretical categories from the Greek era to modern times, as well as the most important answers offered by theoretical discourses for each of the literary doctrines until the advent of the formalists about the faculties of literary discourse, its peculiarities, its goals and its aesthetic relationship with man, the world and the universe.

accordingly, we tried to emphasize the modernity of the concept of literature with the romantics and then the symbolists, in contrast to the Aristotelian trend, which made representation the subject of poetics, and then the importance of linking poetics with aesthetics in each of those directions, especially with the formalists who gave this relationship a great interest in their critical discourses and theses.

the theory is based on two important foundations : the contradiction between literary language and practical language on the one hand, and on the principle of literary as the subject of poetry on the other.

it was later used by the structuralists when they limited literature to the determinants of structure based on the principle of similarity and morphology between the literary structure and the linguistic structure.
