This research paper aims to clarify the concept of Waqf investment, and available formulas to invest and develop its resources, and show its vital role in supporting local development, and he presented the Algerian experience in the field of investing the Waqf.

through the stages he went through, and the structure of Waqf properties, and the most important Waqf projects in support of local development in Algeria, in addition to a presentation of the Chlef city experience model in the field of Waqf investment.

the research paper concluded that Waqf, through the set of formulas presented, innovative financing methods, it can make a substantial contribution to meeting the social and economic needs of the local community, and linking the investment trends of the Waqf with the local development plans adopted by the local authorities is necessary.
