This study aims to uncover the causes of neonatal deaths in the state of Medea through the data of the new born mortality control program between the period 2011-2015, and the civil status data during the same period, using the descriptive analytical approach in order to describe and analyze the phenomenon studied.

the study found that premature births, hypothermia and neonatal transmission are among the most important causes of neonatal death.
