Abstract EN

The Maghreb, which is a pivotal zone, is at the crossroad of the four world directions considered as geo-strategic dimensions.

Our research aims to study the Maghreb’s strategic importance in the US perspective, its challengers and priorities after September 11, 2011 events.

America’s authority on the international level was clear after these events and was a strong motive for its world hegemony.

Besides the reduction of the European role in the Maghrebin region was fulfilled through America’s firm control over terrorism fighting operation in the Mediterranean region, a vital zone for France, without falling under the European strategic subordination.
