Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the reasons leading to the spread of the school dropout phenomenon in the primary stage from the viewpoint of the dropouts themselves.

The researcher used the descriptive method and the questionnaire tool to collect data from the respondents, who numbered 110 dropouts in some municipalities of Jijel Province.

The study found that the educational and social reasons contribute to the spread of the school dropout phenomenon in the primary stage from the point of view of dropouts, while the economic reasons contribute somewhat to the spread of the school dropout phenomenon in the primary stage from the point of view of dropouts.

Based on these results, the researcher recommends: - The necessity of educating the various segments of society about the value and importance of education, and the risks of school dropout on their children - Providing material and moral support to students who suffer from economic, social or health problems, and working to overcome these problems to reduce the possibility of them dropping out in the future.
