Abstract EN

The present research aims at discoving the aesthetics, and artistic aspects of Mahmoud Darouich's poem “bitakat – hawiyyah” translated from Arabic into English as “identity card”.

This aim has been attempted through a structural analysis and a pragmatic approach.

This research also addresses the Arab Islamic- Zionist conflict discussed in the poem and its human, intellectual and cultural manifestations in proving the right of historical existence.

The poem belongs to a kind of contemporary poems that attempt to reach a wide audience of readers and recipients who have such sense of interpretation of textual codes and a taste for touching its creative boudaries, effectively and productively.
