يؤسس لافيل نظريته في القيم على أساس روحي مثالي، و تهدف فلسفته القيمية إلى الدفاع عن القيم ضد الخطر الذي أصبح يتهددها في حياة الإنسان المعاصر.
لذلك فهو ينتقد وجهة نظر الوضعية المنطقية التي أنكرت القيم بحجة استحالة التحقق التجريبي من و جودها.
و يؤكد أن القيم ليست موضوعا للعلم التجريبي، بل ترتبط بالمعنى العميق للوجود الإنساني، و تؤسس لتجربة الإنسان في الحياة التي تقوم على الحرية و المسؤولية و المشاركة
Abstract EN
Lavelle bases his theory of values on an idealistic spiritual foundation, and his value philosophy aims to defend values against the danger that threatens them in the life of contemporary man.
Therefore, he criticizes the rational positivist view that denies values on the pretext of the impossibility of an empirical verification of their existence.
He affirms that values are not the subject of empirical science, but rather are linked to the deep meaning of human existence, and they establish the human experience in life that is based on freedom, responsibility and participation
