Public transactions are considered a focal point for corruption and a favorable place for crimes against public funds, the most prominent of which is what is known as granting an unjustified concession.

To combat and limit this crime the Algerian legislature endeavors has abolished it from the penal code and stipulated in the law related to preventing and combating corruption in order to enhance the penal protection of general transactions and ensuring their integrity and transparency during the conclusion process by clarifying the pillars on which this crime is based and the penalties prescribed for it.

Through this study, light will be shed on the most common crimes in the field of public procurement, by clarifying the legal system for the crime of granting an unjustified privilege.
