Political gains, military glories, and the image of Prince Abd el Kader al Jazairi in international forums as a global human figure have become the focus of attention from European politicians, researchers, travellers and explorers, who sought to see him, the honor of meeting him, and getting close to him, otherwise during his time in France, Or shortly after his transition and stability in the Levant, these meetings were preserved in many writings, dated to his state and resistance, and painted a picture of his status, and some of his positions towards the issues of his time, perhaps among those writings written by the German traveler: Heinrich von Maltsen, who had the honour of meeting the Knight of Algeria and the founder of its modern state on two occasions, one in Bursa in 1854 and the other in Damascus in 1860.
