Abstract EN

This article aims to explore the concept of the industrial designs and models and the conditions of obtaining them.

It also aims to get to know the extent of the availability of international protection of these designs and models in Kuwait.

The researcher employs the analytic and descriptive approach in this study.

The study concludes that the international protection of the industrial designs and models is very important to prevent illegal competition among countries.

Kuwait protects its domestic products from what is imported from abroad.

Doing so, Kuwaiti goods and products enjoy Kuwaiti locality.

Kuwait also strives to obtain international protection of its industrial designs and models, as well as industrial institutions to protect goods from commercial fraud .
