Abstract EN

This article aims to study the frequent Qur’anic readings in Surat Albaqarah and their relation to Waqf and Ibtida.

The diversity of Waqf and Ibtida according to the readings is one of the important topics.

Therefore, it is important to consider the meaning, trace the purposes, observe the headings of the verses, and relate all these to what comes after the verses scholars have adopted.

The strength of the relation between the Qur’anic readings and Waqf and Ibtida shows the connection between them and the verse.

The study employs the inductive analytic approach to identify the readings that are related to Waqf and Ibtida, analyze and cite scholars’ opinions in Waqf, Ibtida, language, readings and interpretation.

The most important findings are: Wqaf is permissible in one reading but not in another.

The reliable readers of the Holy Qur’an adhere to Waqf and Ibtida based on the reading they follow, knowing where to use Waqf and where to use Ibtida, and how to do so.

They agree to adhere to Mushafs’ current symbols of Waqf and Ibtida.
